Does anyone have a wiring diagram fir the 1941 heater?  Its not the Automatic type its the basic two speed reversing motor. I have one motor with 3 wires exiting from it and another with 4. Power to each of the wires get no response?
Thanks.

Steve,

If you have the original Cadillac heater motor with the reversing type switch the wiring is indicated on the back of the switch. If you don't have the original correct switch then it is another can of worms.

Guys,
Ahhh, the old heater wiring issue.  I have seen reference to the color coding & the switch. That's assuming you have nice new wires. I have never seen a diagram of how it's wired to the motor. But,,, it's a real weird set up. Some of the wires are directly attached to parts of the motor. I took one apart some years ago & gave up. I think my restored car has new wires attached to the short originals. I've been in this club for many years & never heard  it mentioned.  I think this would be a good one for C. Doug Houston to chime in on.

My problem guys is the motor has been re- wired at some point but they used all black wires so I'm lost there.  The numerals on the back of the original switch are of little use under these circumstances.
Brad Ipsem has kindly sent me a diagram showing where each wire from the switch should go in the motor so I shall have to trace them all back into the guts of he motor and check that out.
