Before I had my 78 Eldorado shipped to me from the East Coast (two years ago) I thought I saw where I could buy new wire wheels for that series, however now I cannot find any. Are they available? I remember seeing a picture and they looked beautiful on that Eldorado.

I remember them being available for a while too but seems like also heard there were issues with them so perhaps the company making them had to 'give up'.   Its a lot of weight with quite a lot of offset so the engineering is likely pretty critical and also likely needs very high quality materials.   Maybe it could be done but they would have to cost $1000+ each.

That is exactly what I was afraid of, in that there was problems. I have the Wiremags on the 78 and the Turbine style on the 76. Both cars came with those wheels when sold new through the dealer. Do you know of any wheels that are sold new now?

I just picked up a 76 with these wheels on it, they appear to have RWD offset but have been on the car for 12,000 miles and don't appear to have ever been hitting (apologize for the picture, I just took it today to illustrate body damage to someone)
