Hi All - I have a 1957 Cadillac camper (see attached picture). From my research I know of a few dozen others but I am having a hard time determining the general value.  The camper/vehicle is solid but it has been sitting for the last 20 years or so. My plan in to put some time in it this spring to get it running, go through the brakes, and inspect the camper mechanicals.

At the end of the day, I realize the value of a vehicle like this is in the "eye of the beholder", but I am trying to get a general value. Has anyone seen one sell? If so, how much?

I'd say it would be "invaluable" in the event of the missus kicking you outta home. That said , it's got styling only a mother could love. An incongruous juxtaposition .  Wish I had one.

I've seen a few of these conversions crop up from time to time.  Usually they are on eBay and bidding doesn't get very high.  It's usually the same ones selling over and over again.

It would be interesting to know the city/hwy gas mileage figures for this concoction?

If you're cruel enough to ask about mpg, might as well go for coefficient of drag as well.  Probably worse than the proverbial brick.  Joking aside, I think I've seen a couple of '58s for sale in the last few years.  I've seen them referred to as housecars.
