1959 Caddy Cadillac Series 62

Here's another question that I would appreciate feedback on:
Now that I have stripped to bare metal the HVAC ducts that go under the front seats to service  backseat drivers is it recommended or overkill to paint with High Heat Paint? If High Heat Paint is the way to go is there a primer designated for this purpose.

It is unlikely that those ducts would ever see much over 200'F ever, and more likely is 160'F or so tops.  I think most automotive paints can with stand this temperature.  Since high heat paint is about same price and same labor I would use it to be safe.  That is just me, kind of an overkill guy on stuff like this.  You will sleep easier knowing you applied the durable high heat paint.

That is pretty much what I was thinking.
I did notice that whatever paint was used at the factory it bubbled up inside portions of these ducts.
Plus, from what I can tell, they were painted with no primer.
