Good Morning, All.

I have a question. I have a 1972 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 limousine that I am slowly restoring. The limo is a Firemist St Moritz Blue. This color was a custom order from Cadillac, and I'm sure that there where not many of this color made. How can I find out exactly haw many limousine of this color where made in 1972?

Thank you,

Gerard

Hello Gerard

Glad to read you are interested in learning more about your Cadillac.  I would suggest the following:
(1) Contact Allied Vaughn with your vehicle identification number
(2) Become a member of our International Cadillac & LaSalle Club
(3) Become a member of a CLC region/afilliate
(4) Acquire a CLC Authenticity Manual Class 25 1971-76
(5) Become a member of the Professional Car Society

If you have any other questions please ask.
All good men own a Cadillac but great gentlemen drive a LaSalle. That is the consequence of success.

Hello Gerard,
That will certainly be a stunning car when completed. If the actual number could be documented I would think it would have to be very very few produced in that color. Maybe 1 of 1.
Most Series 75 were black or another ultra conservative color.
In the '73 data book it does show percentage of production for colors for the 1972 M.Y.but the 75 Series is not listed, the closest model is the Brougham showing that approximately 4.3% were painted in the 1973 color family of code 92, St. Tropez  Blue.
With 1,955 Series 75 built using that percentage, 84 cars built.
Many of us old timers recall seeing Brougham's in that color but never a 75.
Post some pic's to see how it's going
