I thought I would share pictures of some of my original Cadillac V12 V16 Fleetwood watercolors. They have been in my family since the late 50's.

These are original one off watercolors that were commissioned by Cadillac prior to these cars being built.

To date I have yet to connect with anyone else who original Cadillac design artwork like these.

Come on Peter, this ain't kindergarten. Who would be interested in a bunch of old watercolors?
Er, actually I think they are amazing. Are they a family heirloom or something that you wish to part with?. I know a few whose blood pressure will rise when they see these. What is the provenance?
I posted a series of late 30s sketches in my Customs Schmustoms thread last week. Much of the early artwork was lost or destroyed in the move to the new Saarinen designed Art Centre in the 50s..

They are amazing and they are the REAL deal. You can see the small holes in the center of each wheel from the compass that was used to sketch them upon close inspection.
My Grandfather bought them in the late 50's. He was an avid Cadillac owner in the 50's and 60's have owned several from new. He passed away in 1986. I wish I knew where he found them. I know that he was always on the look out additional watercolors.

I believe these types of watercolors were the basis for pictures used in their brochures.

They are heirloom but everything has its price.

I have a total of 11 plus another watercolor of a what I believe to be a 1938.

Wonderful pieces of history. Thank you for sharing.

Several pieces of history that could make an outstanding addition to the CLC Museum and Research Center.

Boy thats a thought. I don't know what Your tax situation might be, however donating them to the CLC Museum and Research Center while taking a healthy tax deduction might be a viable thought?

The 38 is a 39.  The grille might be either but it looks more 39, but the single vent on the hood side panel makes it a 39.

Jeff is right.  It is a 40 but the hood side panel chrome vent is out of proportion to what was actually done in 40.  I didn't look close enough but it has the 40 parking lights and bumper.

Peter, have you shown these before? I have copies of a set of similar (identical?) images that I got in 2007.
I can't recall the provenance.
