Hi!

I will send some parts to chrome-shop and preparing those right now. I have a problem with sun-visor bracket that constist of 2 parts. It seems that ball-joint is covered with stainless washer/cover.  How can I open it without damaging anything?

Experiences, ideas?

Valts,

I don’t know if this will help you as it pertains to ’66 visors I tried to repair. I used a sharp pick to remove the disk shape cover. It’s a slight press fit. However I could not separate the joint between  the two major parts. Underneath the cover there appeared to be a flat top rivet that was pressed in holding the two pieces together. If someone knows how to separate them it would help us both.

I tried to remove the cover using several sharp picks but it didnt work. I`ll send it to chromeshop anyway, maybe they have some experience...

Thanks anyway.
