I recently re-purchased a 1969 coupe deville, that i sold almost 10yrs ago. There wasnt much left to do to the car when I sold it. there is so much to do to it now :(  Any how, enough crying and lets get this car back to shape. My question is, I had put duel exhaust with glass pack( i think 18in), should I go with the same set up or any other recommendions? Im new to this fourm. Any suggestions are appriciated. Thank you. Fortunately for you, the history of the car was known and so you likely purchased it below market.  If you plan to keep the car a while and are flush, it might be OK to make into the custom you always dreamed of.  The car will retain higher value the closer it resembles stock.  This keeps your options open.  I would not install glass packs, but rather an exhaust system that would quiet the car down closer to the factory sound.  Your car, your decision.

Ralfey,
If you liked the sound before, perhaps you will like it again.

Depends on what you're after. Sound, noise level, breathing/performance. I remember reading in hot rod or car craft that glass packs are about the worst flowing muffler you can buy even though you can see right through them. Something about the louvers inside creating lots of turbulence.  I'm partial to summit racing turbos or thrush turbos for something quiet or flowmasters for a little noise.

I was thinking flow masters as well.
