I am starting to install the side trim on my car.  The mounting studs that go inside the trim were rusted and broken, so I made new ones.  When I install the trim, should there be any kind of sealer or gasket around each bolt hole?  It looks like a great place for water to get in.  The service manual does not address this.

Thanks
T Lewis.

If it will make you feel more confident that the car is sealed, why not? I would use some kind of body putty that is non-drying.
