Seat belts are fitted in the front of my 65 deville convertible. I cannot find any reference to rear belts in the Body Service Manual or anywhere else. I'm planning on having some passengers and feel sure it is a requirement and probably the law these days; does anyone know where I could find them.

I know "Johnny law motors" has good seat belts, airplane style and newer style also.

I bought mine from them and worked great and good look.

If the car came from the factory without seatbelts in the rear (or front for that matter), none are required now, they are "grandfathered in".  Not that it isn't a very good idea to have them.

Here is an informative site listing the states' and US territories' seat belt laws ---

I have been told (for Florida anyway) that if you ADD seatbelts to a car that did not have them originally, then you must use them.  I added front seatbelts to my 1935 Cadillac resto-mod when I used 2006 Cadillac CTS seats in the front which have the seatbelts incorporated into the seats.

Here is an excellent place to look for seatbelts ---
