Hello, I have been looking to buy DTS 2006-2011 and I have been looking at dealership online and in the post it will say 2008 DTS w/1SB or w/1SA. I have even seen a w/1SG. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what these mean? ( the 1/SB or 1/SA). Those are the only three I. Have seen and I can't figure out what these mean. It would be great if any of you guy could help me out?

These designations are the option packages, increasing in quality and features as the letters descend.

I'm not entirely sure what the difference between 1SA and 1SB are, but 1SC is the equivalent of the previous DHS model - full option package with a front bench seat and column shift.  The 1SD is also sometimes presented as the "Performance" model.  It has a handsome, larger rim/tire kit, a different tune for the Northstar V8 with slightly more horsepower, bucket seats, and magnetorheological shocks. (These shocks are awesome, Google them.  Magnetic charges change the density of metallic fluid in the shocks to almost instantaneously switch from soft to firm shock tuning.  I believe Ferrari even pays GM to use this technology.)

Lastly, only the 1SC and 1SD have a telescoping (as well as tilting) steering wheel.  It's fully electronic for tilt and telescope.  As someone with long legs who keeps the seat reasonably far back the telescope feature is a meaningful thing.

Good luck with your shopping!

The option packages could vary slightly year to year.   In 2008, for example, 1SA was base, 1SB was Luxury I, 1SC was Luxury II, 1SD was Luxury III, and 1SE was Performance.

I have an 07.  I'm pretty sure it's a base model, no Nav, no heated and cooled seats, and came with 17" alloy rims.

Great car with plenty of power and it has buckets and a floor shift.  Tilt wheel, no tele.

Headgasket problems were virtually eliminated by 06-07, but look at the lower end of the engine to check for oil leaks.

I have owned an 06 and currently have an 07. (wife's car) Both were bought used, one with 2500 miles on it and one with 26,000. Handle nice, very comfortable on long trips and have good power/acceleration. We have been well pleased.
