I have finished complete frame off rebuild of a 1954 62 Series convertible.
After driving it about 300 miles the tranny just stopped shifting into 3 and 4 gear. I literally stopped at a light and when I left it wouldn't shift and limped home in 1st and 2nd gear.
I have taken out the valve body and cleaned but nothing. Thinking the rear pump? Any help would be great. Any local guy that I can speak with, I'm in upstate NY.

It was about 13 years ago and sat until about 2 years ago when we got it done. After some adjusting it shifted fine till just the other day.

My first thought is that something is wrong with the governor and it is not putting out G-2 oil.  G-2 oil is what moves the 2 to 3 shift valve.  It could also be a stuck 2 to 3 shift valve.

I have had the valve block out and cleaned everything. Put back in an same issue so I donth think its in the valve body.
