Now that another thread let me identify the intake manifold on my 49 Cadillac as a 1955 manifold, I would like to identify the cylinder heads. I believe they are 1953 heads. Is there a casting number visible, and if so, where is it located? Both of my heads have "2 W" stamped on a machined boss just above the center exhaust ports, and no other numbers that I have found. My 1959 Master Parts Book has not provided the answer.

Bob,

On my '58, I found casting numbers in the heads when I removed the valve covers.  Not sure if there is any other location for them.  See attached.
