As we progress with the restoration of the '60 Eldorado Biarritz, cleaning up the soft top mechanism is next up. This assembly is hinged together with 'staked pins' as shown in the attached photos. Since you can't take it apart unless you grind off the 'staked pins' ends, where do you look for replacement pins?

I continue to look for a source of vacuum tubing for the door locks and A/C-heater system
Any advice will be appreciated.

I have never seen a source for the "staked pins."

They sort of look like rivets. You could try to find actual rivets that would fit, or...

Get some stainless steel bolts that would fit in the holes, cut them off just a little long so they stick out a little, cut a cross in the cut-off end with a Dremel tool, compress with a clamp to spread out the cross, maybe that would do the trick.Of course I would do some tests first to see if this would actually work.

Or just use stainless bolts with stop nuts, that might work too.

RE vacuum tubing I have bought various sizes of tubing by the foot from my local auto parts store (NOT a chain store) and have found exactly what I wanted. If you need vacuum tubing with the stripes on it Old Air Products in TX sells a set with about 8 different colors.

Good luck!
