I need to replace my windshield and passenger door window on my 1952 Caddy. A truck in front of me flipped up a stone and hit my windshield.  The door window just decided to crack on its own. I'm curious when the glass was manufactured and don't have the breakdown of the codes for a 52.  As many of you know, LOF (Libbey Owens Ford) used two letters for the month and year.  I found the following which starts for glass manufactured beginning 1953:

LOF Month Code - First Character
           N   X   L   G   J   I   U   T   A   Y   C   V
Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec

LOF Year Code - Second Character
   A    Z    X    V    T    N    Y    U    L    I    C    G    J
1953 1954 1955 1956 1957 1958 1959 1960 1961 1962 1963 1964 1965
1966 1967 1968 1969 1970 1971 1972 1973 1974 1975 1976 1977 1978
1979 1980 1981 1982 1983 1984 1985 1986 1987 1988 1989 1990 1991

My windshield states FA, door glass is EE and quarter panels are FE.  Does anyone have the code for my 1952 glass?  Brian

I was searching the web and found the info on some old correspondence in the Buick Club.  I'm trying to find the date codes for 1952 but no luck yet.  I hope the info is helpful for everyone with a 1953 or newer Caddy.
