Richard Sills - CLC #936

This Saturday July 11, the Central Pennsylvania Region and the Upper Susquehanna Region will sponsor the Ninth Annual CLC Inter-Regional Meet at the AACA Museum in Hershey, PA.  The show is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The registration fee of $15.00 includes a ticket of admission to the AACA Museum.  The show will feature peer judging by the registered car owners, along with a DJ playing oldies music.   Breakfast and lunch will be available.   All makes of cars are welcome.  We have awards for Cadillacs by the decade, as well as separate classes for other makes of cars.  Awards are provided courtesy of Kelly Cadillac in Lancaster, PA.

The weather forecast now says Saturday will be sunny, with zero percent chance of precipitation.  And, there are great new exhibits to see at the Museum.

After the show, Assistant Director Art Archambeault and his wife Jan are extending their hospitality to invite the show attendees back to their home.   We will relax with cold drinks around the pool, and enjoy more Cadillac conversation.   Then, we will drive a short distance to Giotto’s Italian Restaurant for a group dinner at around 5:00 p.m.    As always, this is an informal event, where each person can order from the extensive menu and pay his or her own bill.   This will be a very enjoyable day.

For more information, contact Art by e-mail at "artarchambeault49email addresses not permitted", or by telephone at 717-557-6974, or e-mail me at "richard.sills@hklaw.com".

Update from Art Archambeault:

After our show on Saturday, the group went to Giotti's Restaurant for dinner and refreshments.  At the show, we had 7 different regions represented.  A great time was had by all.

Here, I couldn't resist a shot of our guests today.  Long time members of the CLC, past presidents, and current officials.  Seated left to right are Bob Crimmins, Richard Sills, Marty Watkins, Andy Zizolfo, and Lee Herbermann

A big thanks to hosts Jan & Art Archambeault for their customary, boundless hospitality.

The post-show gathering at their house and at the restaurant was the perfect way to end the day and a terrific time was enjoyed by all - every bit as enjoyable as the show itself, if not even better.

The young lad sitting at the wheel of my '59 is a neighbor of Jan & Art's by the name of Colten (or Coulten?) who's knowledge of Cadillacs and LaSalles is astonishing - especially considering his ripe old age of 10. His memory like a sponge, ever absorbing the most minute of Cadillac factoids and trivia - and whatever you tell him, he double-checks to make sure, reporting back if you got something wrong.

Is favorite is '59s (who can blame him  ;D) and firmly intends to own one someday.

Definitely a future CLCer in the making if there ever was one.

This year's event was the best yet.  Makes up for missing Nationals.

Art and Jan are the consummate host and hostess.  Their home and hearts are, always open to fellow CLC members.  Thank you doesn't cover their hospitality but it's about all one can offer on a message board.
