I was hoping someone can help me by guiding me in the right direction. How do I get a build sheet for a 1960 Cadillac Seville? And it's History? My email address is swornin4ever@yahoo.com. Appreciate it!

The sheet will show the manufacture date, outlet code but little else that cannot be determined from the car itself. Whether this information is worth $50 is up to you to decide.

As to the history of ownership, service, mileage and so forth, you're pretty much out of luck aside of any documentation came with the car and/or whatever the previous owner was able to tell you.

Eric:
In previous years, the ownership of a Rolls-Royce could be traced as the car left the factory. The new second, third, fourth owner so on and so forth had an obligation to report his name.
I don't know if this practice is valid nowadays.

Not certain how RR could have enforced that.

In any case, privacy legislation has change has changed dramatically over the last decade or so; harmless information, once freely given without hesitation, is now jealously guarded.

I used to get vehicle info from some friends in law enforcement but they can really get in trouble for running plates or VIN numbers without a valid reason.

You can talk to a private investigator if you really want to know if there are any transactions on record involving the car's VIN.

Believe it or not, if the car has changed owners in the past 15 years or has been registered you may be able to get service records through Carfax. If you can find out a location where the car was serviced maybe someone there could give you a possible owner's name.

Pull the back seat to look for any receipts that may have info on them.

Likely because 95% of shops outside of a RR dealer wouldn't touch them.  So, when they went in for service or repair as they often did, the dealer could update the records as they saw changes in ownership.
