Freeze Plug vs Disc

Now that my 346 engine has been restored, I notice that the cam end plug at the rear seems to be a bit shallow for a freeze plug.

A friend has  mentioned that this seal should be a flat disc rather than a conventional concave plug.

Advice ?

Correct…And if my memory serves me right, a shallow oddball size. I had to buy a set just to get that one plug after the others were already in the block. I should have purchased the whole block kit at once  ::)
