trying to find fuel pump.   a lot of sites say  429 cadillac fuel pump  then (except 67 eldorado) next to it.   the airtex 40258 says will work on 66 but doesnt show 67 on the compatible list.   summit shows a carter m4510 should work but looks different to me.    found some nos ac 40469 fuel pumps on ebay but they are to much.   anyone know  what will work and why  they all say (except eldorado)  what was the 429 difference?

oh hello everyone   new member  and proud new owner of a  1967 eldorado  project car.   sat since 1974 70,000 miles     put in new points and sprayed some starting fluid and fired right up!   now need fuel pump lol

found one on opg for 67 eldo for 150.oo   and the regular 1967 429 fuel pump on their site is 50.00    if the difference is just size of fuel line fitting or something then i can make it work.   anyone know exact difference?

I checked both the shop manual and the master parts book.  The parts book does say the Eldo uses a different fuel pump but neither says what he difference is.
Did you Google the part numbers and see if a description comes up?

Rockauto shows 3 but they are all electric.
Here's another one listed for all models, probably bad information but I bet it's just the pipe configuration that's different.

HERE'S ONE LISTED JUST FOR THE 67.

FYI: The '67 eldo 429 pump is an oddball 1 year only pump. It has a different angle/orientation because of the Front wheel drive. Consider getting yours rebuilt if possible.    Joe Gibeault
