I've been able to remove my front passenger window, which has been cracked for years, and want to replace it with new. Any hints on how to remove the glass, particularly the bottom section. Looks like maybe it's glued in? The window along with the track is out of the car. Thanks. BB

The sash channels are held in place with a thin rubber called glass setting tape.  It wraps the edge of the glass and then the sashes are gently beat on with a rubber mallet.  Spray with WD-40 or a similar oil and it will expand the rubber holding it in place.

If you pull hard, the sash channel should come off.  Very typical of how sash channels were installed on most makes at the time.  Back when I worked in an auto glass shop, my installers would have an influx of these in the spring.  We always kept rolls of the rubber on hand for that purpose.
