  There are 2 drawings and text for this purpose in the 1960 top booklet .Its called "Operation and Care of convertible Top 1960 Cadillac Eldorado "There were separate booklets for the 2 convertibles in at least years 1957-61 (I don't have 59,but have seen it)  Warren

I have that booklet and I have a 60 with a hard boot.
I also manufacture and sell the boot bags as seen on ebay.

Thank you again Brian, what I am looking for is photos showing the installation of the three piece hard boot,on a 1960 series 62 conv. it seem that i am missing a couple of brackets on the back end of the center section  that would be on an Eldorado from the factory, any thing you have regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated, also send me your e-bay address showing your storage bags, Sincerely, Peter

I also have a 62 Series convertible and was lucky to find an Eldorado Parade Boot in nice condition and had it color matched to Olympic White to match my car.

I also needed the brackets for the rear of the back seat and got them from a friend in Sweden.  He also had new leather parts made for me that fit the boot and the car perfectly.

I am attaching photos to this post that may help.  My car is in storage right now but I will be bringing it home in the next few weeks and can take an exact measurement of the little brackets and their placement.

ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU VERY MUCH BRIAN. On your series 62 did you have to remove the gutter that excepted  the soft top? also does your friend in Sweden re pro. these clips and makes up the leather strips, and if so how can I get in touch with him? do you have any idea what the est. costs may be if he does provide these services. Brian if there are photos and explanation in your book explaining how to install this correctly please send them to me Hate to be A.P. in T. A. Very much appreciated, Peter, PS Have you ever seen the Hard Boot in a different color as the soft boot would have been??

My opinion is that the hard boot needs to be body color.
It maintains the body lines of the car and makes it look even longer and lower.
A contrasting color would not have a favorable appearance in my opinion.

You can get reproductions of the booklet on eBay. Once in a while an original pops up.
