I thought all 73's had rub strips. I sent you a few pics of that guard some time ago. Did you ever get a chance to look at them?

Bob,

I do not see the front of it, and presumed it had rub strip.  If it has no rub strips, then I guess it can only be a 71.  The 72 and new Cadillacs had rub strips.  The 70 and older did not have bumper guards.

It does have rub strip holes. That's what happens when I depend on memory. LOL!

Bob, assuming that this is a Cadillac part, I'd say it's driver's side front for 1972 rear wheel drive.  It's not notched for a straight-across bumper bar.

Thanks for responding. It has an R stamped on it, but it appears to be a LH from the link you posted.
