I am new to Cadillacs and was looking for some range of value for a 1932 Cadillac Lasalle Town Sedan 5 passenger I am interested in buying out of an estate. It is in very good condition, restored 5-10 years ago. I believe I can buy it for under $10,000

What is the value range? I have many projects now and would only buy this to enjoy for a while then pass it on to someone else.

Without a through examination I would say double what your talking about paying.

Look up "no brainer" in the dictionary and you'll see a picture of this car priced at/under $10K.

finmad,

With only one photo and little else, condition-wise, to go on valuation is very difficult.  Sniff around at some of the online price guides (try Kelly, NADA, etc.) to start with.  Then head to your local newsstand and pick up a copy of Old Cars Price Guide.  Valuations in these places will differ, but it will give you a ballpark idea on where you might stand.  If you can have a mechanic give it a basic check out, all the better.  At least check fluid levels and for contaminants in the fluids (IE, water in the oil).

It looks like you've found a real gem, though!

I think I could find room in the garage for it if you do not buy it. Great looking car and hard to beat LaSalle as a brand,

Hello Finmad

Glad to read of your interest in a LaSalle.

Very difficult to establish a value on a LaSalle with so little information.  A true assessment requires an interview with the automobile to establish the condition, originality, provenance, driveability, chrome, paint, body panel fit, interior, authenticity etc.  According to my LaSalle Appreciation Guide the range on this vehicle could be 2-50k.
