I have replaced the passenger side upper control pin. Symptoms that caused replacement included pulling left rather hard and seemed tire wear though I did not let the tires run long with the car pulling so hard. It started pulling left all at once. Question..#1 When setting the camber should the "in and out" of the eccentric be on the top or bottom of the pin?...#2 Anyone ever had the pulling continue after alignment due to the opposite side (drivers) being worn. the alignment shop said the new pin could be adjusted while the other could not be set accurately. (understandably)

The pin should be used to draw the top of the wheel in or out as needed by camber so the cam on the pin would be facing in towards the engine or out facing you, not up or down.  Remember a full turn alters the caster.

I understand the premise for adjusting. .. what the general question is for me is ... do you locat the eccentric at a 12 o'clock position or at a 6 o'clock.  It wouod seem to make enough difference to be Essential.

Scottash, I think Steve's point is valid.  Turning the eccentric pin even a small amount can alter the caster (as well as the camber).  So, when the required caster and camber setting is reached it can be in any "o'clock" position, either six or twelve o'clock or anything in between.

Does ayone have access to a step by step fot the eccentric pin installation... having a devil of a time getting the pripee adjustment.  Pin wont center well and seems to "bottom out" on the caps.

If you can't centre the steering arm between the shock arm eyelets you could have something bent very slightly. One trick is to loosen off the bottom pin and its bush to give you some play to get the steering arm central then screw in each bush. If the arm is way off centre the pin will bottom out in the bush as you have found.
