There are several pieces of rubber & insulating material under the horn button. Have they been reproduced? Any help appreciated.
Thanks, Bob

I always cut the small pieces of sponge like material from modern 'Skinned Neoprene' of the appropriate size Bob.   Works every time.

I agree with Steve's approach for the rubber, and have found McMaster Carr to be a good source.  The fussiest is probably re-lining the anti-rattle cushion, but still not too bad.  If you just need enough to do one car, I probably have enough extra I could send a strip to you.  If you want to buy instead, Steve Cooley in FL should have most all of the horn internal parts.  He also has the hard plastic center bushing that inserts in the steering shaft and receives the brass contact.  Also, there was another thread earlier this year on how to make a usable version of that insulator from a cable tv part if you want to DIY that item.

Hope that helps

Paul

BTW, did you every run across the 1941 radio station labels sheets?

Paul & Steve,
I figured you guys would chime in. According to the shop manual, I need the sponge rubber washer, the foam rubber that is glued to the anti rattle cushion. My has turned to stone. Are there little rubber pads that cushion the horn ring?  I feel that all those parts are very different.  I have all the hard parts, just need the soft ones. Can I get more info on each one? Any help appreciated. Paul, I gave up the radio station search for awhile. I was getting frustrated. I will look some more.

There are 3 little pads under the horn ring Bob and the Neoprene does just the job there too.  This is an example of the sort of stuff we can buy here of all different sizes usually at any car flea market. I keep several sizes in stock.       There must be suppliers in your part of the world too. Probably Metro or Steele?  Bottom is a link to the thread that Paul was talking about regarding some TV part for the insulator.

I think I have spares at the shop of the anti rattle cushion and the washer as attached to the contact plate.  I will measure the material thickness and take pix on Monday.  I recently did the pads on the horn ring and know which spool of material was right for that, just don't recall the thickness.  I should have the neoprene for the other two as well.
