Hi all,
I am getting ready to replace the side glass on my 59 model 62, and I want to purchase  the 6 pieces.  . I see there are several vendors and their prices vary.  Also some have the choice of laminated or tempered.

If anyone has gone down this road already, and has a company they had a positive experience with any guidance would be appreciated, Thank You all in advance...john

All the side glass is originally laminated.

I am looking into glass for my Cadillac, I have only found tempered glass.

Maybe a safety issue with laminate?  I know most glass is now made tempered so no sharp edges.

Or I just haven't found the company that does it.

Any glazier will cut the glass to any shape required.

At least these cars have flat glass.

Plus, if the edges show, then they can simply be polished after cutting.

Over here in Oz you have to be  careful to  not let them put their  big ugly stencil  logo upside down in the wrong corner. I got a LOF stencil made with correct date codes and etched them myself. Over there someone does it.
Tinted glass is green tint 6.37mm laminated.

John,
Like Quentin, I am a purist.
Go for the laminated - logo - tint in your Cad.
If you are not so picky - tempered & tint, no logo - save a couple of bucks.
Have fun,

Thanks to all for the replies, I'm leaning towards the laminated, guess I'm old school.
