January 2016 North Texas Region Cadillac & LaSalle Newsletter

Directors Message
Once again we want to wish you a very Prosperous and Happy New Year. Thank all who donated toys and came to the Annual Toys for Tots at Frank Kent Cadillac’s wonderful facility. A new Escalade was jammed full of toys and delivered to the main station for the Marines Corps Reserves to present children with Christmas toys.  It is one of our Community projects for the year. We certainly hope the children enjoy this very much.  Because of the weather looking sort of bleak, we only had Mr. Bruce Sapp’s black Eldo classic showing, while everyone else drove their modern Cadillacs.

We had a great time around the beautiful purple, white, and silver Christmas tree.   NTXCLC was the recipient of a very tasty, catered meal and decorated Christmas Cookies. The members enjoyed visiting while seated around two decorated tables with white tablecloths.

We do need you to volunteer to assist your NTX board with the upcoming events.  Activities would be like calling members, greeting, and possibly bringing a dish.  Each board member would like some assistance with their job since you choose to retain the present board. But speak up if you would like to take on a position, please.

At this time, we begin our new year 2016 with a new treasurer, Mr. James Hanson, replacing the eight-year tenure of Neil Jefferson, who recently moved to Wisconsin to be nearer to family.  So welcome and introduce yourself to Jim.

We wish Neil and Marianne Jefferson the best in WI.   We will miss him.  For this last year he was also our Pate Director. Thanks A Million for all your hard work, Neil.

At the December Board meeting an assistant to the editor, Bill Levy, was requested.  Dave Eckberg and wife Kathy volunteered, as our new proof readers for the newsletter.

So now ready yourself for an exciting eventful 2016. Driving your Cadillac or LaSalle car to the events, volunteering, and calling a friend to join us each month, because, we have some exciting programs scheduled for you.  We miss you when you don’t show up at the monthly meet.  WATCH YOUR CALENDAR â€" Page 4 and the back page.

See you in your special attire for the Annual Christmas party January 3rd, Sunday at the Doubletree on 114 and Esters in Irving. Plus we have some really nice gifts to be won by you.

Then be ready for your TECH Meet in Grand Prairie for a Paint Shield Demonstration in February, and then in March a driving tour to John Bunker Sands Wetland Center in Seagoville, Tx. to see the birds and water conservation program. Both are very exciting events. Look forward to seeing and visiting with you
