Hello,

I have a 55 sedan 4 door, series 62

After seeing the last posting about the data plate it raised a question for me.

On my data plate it shows: BODY No FW 39155

So this says mine is a Fleetwood, but there are no fleetwood script emblems on my car, the trunk has crest and V, on the dash above the ashtray it says Cadillac not Fleetwood.

And my engine compartment data plate looks  to be factory, and everything else matches the plate info.

Is this normal?
Is it a fleetwood?
Should there be emblems stating fleetwood, or do some not have the emblems on?

Thank you
Jason

The style number denotes what it is.  If it was a Fleetwood it would be a 6019.

Thank you dan,

That is what I thought but was thrown off a little by the FW on body code.

FISHER FLEETWOOD plant 21 built ALL Cadillac bodies.  Only the senior series were fully badged as "Body By Fleetwood"--75, 60 and Eldorados.  You should have a badge on the passenger seat valance that says: "Body by Fisher. Interior by Fleetwood".

Thanks for the added info Walter,

I am missing that badge, the seats were redone before I purchased and are not present.

And I have sent in my yearly dues but has not posted yet, so no CLC member info up yet.

Thank you for the reply's
