are the motors available for the underseat heaters.  thanks john

As far as I know, you need to have them rebuilt or look for used ones. Buick, Packard, Studebaker, etc. use these type motors in their blowers. I had to source two out  from Packard defroster units. They are shallow if you have them out, so not too many options, plus you need to check rotation. I already converted to 12V in my car and am replacing mine shortly. I had to use step down resistors to run them, but now I decided to retrofit them to 12V and get it over with since their out of the car right now. I'll keep you in mind if you hit a brick wall in your search.

There are some aftermarket replacements out there, though I would need to do some hunting to confirm the source I used. This type motor does not change rotation by polarity.  Install the fan blade to push thru the cores.
