When I purchased my '60 Biarritz the side trim was stripped off of the car, although most was still there. My problem now is that none of the trim attachment clips survived and I don't know what I need to put each piece back on. This is mostly related to the rocker, fender skirt and rear lower quarter trim. I found clips for the thin bead side trim from Restoration Specialties that work quite well. I don't know exactly what to even ask for the rocker, fender skirt and rear lower quarter trim. These all look like 'hanger type' trim pieces, although there are three different hole sizes as you move down the length of the car. Is there a source that defines what each of these trim clips should be? Does anyone out there have a reference of input that might help me?
Thanks   Whit

Whit,

The rocker trim clips are a "standard" type of clip that I think are still made.  They clip onto posts on the body and then the rocker molding slides down on to them.  There is a lip that sticks out that the molding catches on.  I guess it needs a little tap down, then the self tapping bolts on the bottom secure them in place.

My 60 Seville still has the skirt moldings attached and the lower trim on the quarters.  It all needs to come off to prep for paint.  I am kind of in Winter mode and not much is getting done in my garage right now.

As soon as I have some time I will take a few things apart and measure and photograph the clips for you.

Are you putting the stuff back on the car now or just getting everything lined up?

I can help you with some of this, but I'm tied up for the next couple of days, after which I will get back to you.

Brian:

I am beginning to put things back onto the car...and also lining some things up. The car is painted, engine, transmission, brakes and suspension are all done. Wire harnesses laid out but not connected yet. No interior or dash yet. Starting to put the window mechanisms in and will begin to assemble the top framework (it is painted and new pins machined). Lots to do yet, but the winter weather has not been too bad...81 degrees today.

David: Thanks for the photo offer...everything will help.
