this has probably been discussed before and I apologize ahead of time. Can I use an original heater [6v] fan motor in a car that has been converted to 12v ? What do I need to do, if anything, to be safe and have the fan work properly ?
Thanks for any help !

Don,
PM me. I'll give you the model # of the correct 12V replacement motor, and it's cheap and great quality. No Cadillac Vendor involved.  Too many voltage reducers/resistors involved to make it work properly. It's a pretty heavy load to step down.  I made my own conversion set-up, but have now since converted to the correct motor after finally locating the correct replacement that fits, and it's also reversible. Way safer and less chance of any problems. Hope this helps.

Hi Bobby, thank you, but I'm really lo-tech in a hi-tech world...How do I PM you? The 12v motor sounds like the perfect solution.

In order for the low fan switch resistors to be effective, you'll need to
swap them out for a 12V set, which have about 4 times the resistance.
