I posted in wanted to buy, but I thought I would throw it out here for any suggestions.  I want to bring my car to the Grand National, not to show, but rather to drive.  It is a 1937 Series 7519.  I won't be able to if I don't get the darned horn working so I can get it licensed.  So here is the problem:

There is this little screw in contact unit at the base of the steering column.  It is basically a conductive plunger, a spring and a connection to the wiring circuit.  The spring is broken.  Does anyone know a part number or what this little bounder is even called?  It would seem to be a pretty standard item and I should be able to find one.  I would love any help or suggestions.

Included for consideration:  The car, and the horn "thingy"

Sadly Chad your 75 has a different steering column to the smaller series and hence a different horn contact.   There are reproductions out there for the smaller series type as they used them on Buicks but I have never seen a repro of your type.  Is there any way you can dismantle it and replace the spring?
Easy enough to rig up a temporary wire to a button under the dash to get the horn working for the sake of the licensing though (that's what mine had when I bought it) unless anyone comes up with a used one?

It looks like you can bend back three tabs and get in there.  I might consider having one machined if I can't fix it.  Question?  Wouldn't the buick series 91 limited also use our add it was a Fleetwood D body car as well?

I wouldn't think there was any machining to do, just find a spring that will fit in there.

Fleetwood had nothing to do with mechanics on the vehicles they built, it came to them  as a running chassis. Buick never used the articulated column.

Until you can locate the part perhaps you could put a small remote button under the dash so you can at least get on the road, some states might let you use a bike bulb horn and hang out the window!LOL D
