I have a 1932 Chrysler 3-window coup hot rod with a modified Cadillac engine. It has been bored and a sonar test shows a thin #8 cylinder. I want to investigate installing a stock 331 or a stock 365 engine.  So I want to compare all around performance and reliability of these two engines.

Any thoughts?

Either of these engines will serve you well.  Essentially they are both the best engines of their time. I would make my pick determined by the era of the build. They were the hotrodders piçk from day one.
