1961 Optional Specifications manual
1961 Fleetwood only upholstery Selection guide
Complete set of 1961 Serviceman bulletins
Complete Set of 1953 Serviceman bulletins
1953 power steering brochure
Some really odd 1953 Pamphlets

A 1973 Pace Car 'poster'
Actually it is transparent red and was meant to be taped on the showroom window and have light shine through. It is HUGE! 3x6 FEET.

It is made of acetate(?) and was rolled up when I bought it (for $50) It was getting squished and the plastic was beginning to split so I had it professionally framed - which isnt cheap. ($300) They offered to place it between 2 pieces of glass so light could shine through, but I decided to use a red matting so that it can be hung on a wall.

Now the problem is that I dont really have a wall big enough to hand it on, so it sits behind the sofa.
A big piece of Cad memorabilia and because of how fragile it is likely the only one left from the 1973 Pace Car campaign.

Currently, it would be the original issue's of the CLC newsletter from the early 1950's  I purchased as a group of paper ephemera from a defunct Cadillac dealership in Columbus Ohio in 2006-7.  Previously, it would be the Eldorado Brougham Carpet and Upholstery Selector Display piece purchased at the same dealership auction.  Sold to an overseas buyers for a mind numbing sum that I will never duplicate. My future motto - go to all defunct dealer auctions, no one recognizes the value of paper. . . . .

I also have a Fleetwood book given out by a dealership to all Fleetwood buyers. It has a directory in it of Fleetwood owners. I have pics of it but cant locate them at the moment.

I have a showroom folder, big, from 1938, which has been in my collection for years and years.  I decided to put it on eBay to see what would happen...nothing yet.  I've never seen another one.  It would be nice if it went to a CLC member.

Has anyone seen this piece before?

Dennis,

This is a rare piece of 1938 literature. There is another copy of your item currently listed on eBay, but I was very surprised to see that as this item comes up so rarely.

I have about 10 different pieces of 1938 Cadillac literature, plus a couple of other reprints or copies. I don't have this item. I do have an extra copy of a different piece listed in the FOR SALE section of this message board (I had others too, but they sold).  The item you are offering is likely the rarest of the 1938 Cadillac sales pieces from the U.S.

Hi John,

I just saw the other one...thanks for pointing it out.

Do you have anything unusual for '41?  A Data Book?  I now have the deluxe spiral bound book.

See you at Shelburne?

I only have two things of note, apart from the cars I have owned, and the memories of all the others I have seen.

Not sure if anyone would class this piece as cool, but it was the first accessory-piece with Cadillac identification on it when I purchased my first Cadillac in 1980ish.   A 1972 Eldorado Coupe, from a known Drug Dealer.   The price was to cover his court fines.

It is made of leather, with a plastic window, and two leather flaps sewn into the back, with a leather strap.

It came from Coulter Cadillac in Pheonix, Arizona, where the car was purchased.

Plus, a 1979 Cadillac 8 Track Cartridge.   The sort of thing that would be left in the Glove Box to show how goof the expensive 8 Track performed.

And the leather thing is?
Yes, I would like to know.

It looks like it would hold a piece of paper between the two leather flaps and the clear plastic face.

It is adjusted to fit around a persons' arm, or some other object.   Maybe a steering column, or the area just under the arms of the steering wheel?

Is it big enough to hold a dealer license plate to hang on the rear of the car when it goes out for a test drive?

No.   Too flimsy I think.
