I have the built sheet. It was taped to the inside of the right side interior door panel (don't ask why I was digging around in there.....whole 'nother story). Anyway, built sheet states that the "broadcast" is sequence 362, month 05, day 20. So, I'm figuring my Coupe was the 362th car built on May 20, 1970. Am I correct so far?
Which leads me to today. I remove the clock so that I may put in a quartz kit. Stamped in red on the top of the housing is "010  May 13 '70". So, was the clock built in May 13th? Was May 13th the date the clock was received into inventory? If so, seems like Cadillac had something akin to "just in time inventory" many many moons ago!
Something else interesting: small sticker on the back of the clock states "for service send to Instr. Services Inc., 433 South Arch St., Janesville, WI 53545

If you're 25 years old and not a liberal, you have no heart. If you're 45 years old and not a conservative, you have no money!

Sounds right to me. I once owned a 1986 DeVille that had been sold to its first owner in NJ on 2-10-86. The inside of the left front fender was stamped "1-29-86"

I don't think GM was into letting stuff hang around!
