Mystery Dust Shield for 61 - Anyone know where it goes?

Car being re-assembled. This one (pardon the pun) has me "baffled".... :D

That goes way up in the top front of the front fender, to prevent water from accumulating above the headlight brow.

There is a metal frame that it is stapled to, and the frame has three or so bolts to hold it tightly in place.

To get a better idea for where it goes (as I don't have a handy picture), it has to be removed in order to get to the turn signal indicator, if you ever need to change the bulb.

If a pic will help, I can possibly get one this afternoon.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the reply. I have a piece in that location, held by 3 bolts, but it has stapled to it a rubber weatherstripping. I will look at the parts CD again.

OK, well my car had rubber seals. They were stapled in and they were original. My car was build on or near Dec. 10, 1960. My parts car was April of 61. I replaced the rubber with rubber that matched. Other differences between the 2 cars arec:

Brake booster
Clock
Dash brackets
Drives haft
Bolt markings
Headlight mount rubber bumper. The early car does not have them.
