Sometimes SMS has a rebuilt pair in stock and will send them if you pay a fairly steep core charge so you don't have to have a hingeless car for a few weeks while they repair them. 

Back when I did mine they mailed a hand written check back to you for the core charge.  I remember that because when I recently moved I found the check jammed in some other papers.
