Hello all,

I'm looking for front lower sperical joint dust boots. Mine are torn. I've looked on OPG's  webpage and Rockauto's website, but up until now I have only found these boot including the spherical joint. I just need the boots. Where to order them?

Thanks,

Julien.

You can only replace the entire ball joint. There are no boot replacements available to my knowledge.

I recommend http://rareparts.com/  - they have what you need in true Cadillac quality!

Thanks for the replies. It would be a bit weird if only the entire ball joint could be replaced. In the shop manual it also states that it is possible to just change the boots.

Yes from that side of view it would make sense. But if the boot is ripped there is a good change that debris made its way into the ball joint and will cause it to fail sooner or later. Plus if you change the boot you would probably do 80% of the job anyways, so that is probably why there is only a full ball joint assembly available.

If you find a source of boots, let us know.....I would like to replace the rotting rubber on my '58 without giving up my original ball joints.
