I'm helping my Dad with getting the top working on his 1957 Eldorado Biarritz. It seems like we aren't getting power to the pump. I'd like to check power at the switch but I'm not sure how it comes out. Before I pry on it any harder, is there any trick besides just prying it out of the dash?

There is a spring clip cradle that the switch pushes into. After years of grime and grit accumulation it can sometimes be a bit sticky. I would put a flat blade spatula under the edge of the switch and some card board against the dash paint and try and pry it from the front and the back. You may be able to get a squirt of lubricant in behind to help things along. Little by little. Once you get it 1/4 of an inch it should just pull out by fingers.
