Hello, I just registered on the forum.
My name is Jérôme, I live across the big pond, in the Netherlands. Last year I became the proud owner of a 1950 Coupe de Ville. It was imported from the States to the Netherlands in 2008, I believe. According to the sticker on the windshield, it belonged to a CLC member when it was still in the States.

Since last year I started with weatherstripping, replaced the Complete Hydro-Lectric system, put some new tires, installed 2 Optima Red Tops together with a battery disconnect switch, changed rear wheel bearings, front U-joint and I am currently trying to figure out a clicking sound coming from under the car. I will put up a new topic if I can't find it....

I hope to learn and contribute to this forum.

Yes, welcome to the club and great looking car!  How do you manage to drive that big car on those little streets?

Very cool!

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

@Chas, no thanks, not interested in buying a Harley right now. I've already got too many hobbies to keep up with...
@Chris, fortunately I live in a small town with not so many narrow streets. The ones we do have, I keep out. Parallel parking is a form of art with this car (and it will ruin my new whitewalls).

Welcome to the CLC Forum and congratulations on your acquisition.

I strongly recommend joining the CLC where you will find membership an invaluable resource for technical expertise as well as keeping informed of CLC activities throughout the world.

Best of luck with your beautiful 1950 Coupe deVille.

I have never seen this color. Did not know that it was available?  Is it original?
