Hey guys,
this is Mike from Germany.
Here are some pics of my careburetor. Can you guys tell me which kit for overhaul I need (and maybe where to buy it)? Found some on cadillacparts ltd but I am not sure which one I need...
Thanks,
Mike

PS:
It is a 1940 Cadillac but I am not sure it it is the original 1940 LaSalle engine or a 1941 Cadillac...

The kits I have seen available lately seem to have everything needed for every model so just make sure you get a Carter kit that covers your number.

Hey Steve,
thanks for your reply. Which number are you referring to?
The 6-321 or 640 or another number?  ::)
Thanks a lot!

Mike,
Hi...That Carter is from a 1940 Lasalle Model 50. Tag should read 460S and should have a baseplate casting #277. The bases could have been swapped if it was sent out to a rebuilder years ago when they were plentiful. This info should point you in the right direction. Hope this helps!

Mike,

You can check Daytona for a kit as well daytonaparts.com.  They come with special float valves that work better than the old style needle and seat valves.
I have their kits in both of my AFB's for several years now  and they work very well.
