having trouble with idling. the little spring is off so the step plate falls and car will barely idle. anyone know a solution ? also are there any parts or maybe even a better carb that would work ? thanks john

What? the spring is off but you have it? or its missing? broken? What?  I might have some parts but it depends just what you need.

steve I have the spring but its very distorted been pulled way beyond what it should be

That's about the only thing I can't find without parting a complete carb. Sorry, but there are carbs on ebay from time to time for spares.
