Ok folks I give up after searching Google for the correct name and multiple other sites for bolts/nuts, specialty sites, body suppliers, general GM parts suppliers, etc. I’m at a lost.  >:(

I need a few of these type of raised/cup washers/spacers which are used on the chrome pieces specially the larger one with the threaded studs.

Any one knows of a source or the correct name?

I was able to make three to finished the rear RH side door trim, but it is time consuming and I rather get them is they are available.  :(

No, I do not want to use regular or fender washers and stacked them together, some of the areas where these go a hard to reach and handling several of the washers and the nut would be a pain.  ;)

Thanks,

Mr. Gomez,

Try Ace hardware/true value,  they have a large aisle of odd and hard to find parts, I have found a few things there for the Cadillac.
That's where I found correct rivets for the vacuum manifold, they have chromed screws, all kinds of spacers and bushings, even rubber bump stops that work for factory style.

That's what I'd call a "speed nut". They are characterized by the smaller star shaped hole in either sheet metal  or machine thread dimensions...eg: No.8 sheet metal screw or 10 - 24 coarse. The larger outside diameter can be built up with a washer. Try Restoration Specialties" : http://www.restorationspecialties.com/
They are very helpful and have everything in  fasteners.

Jason,

Thanks for the tip; I did check my local AC hardware and no luck.  :(

Ralph,

Found they are call “cup washer” and are use on several GM models to hold the trim pieces as the post where the stud screw in extends inside the panels. I was also provided a GM (Chevy site) which has them.  8)

Thanks everyone

How about sharing a link to that site!  Believe it or not Jaguar used those way back when and I could use some.  Thanks.

Ralph, I'm not so sure: the indentations are more like a spring washer to avoid that the nut will get lose with vibrations.

If they were a speed nut they would need some way of staying in place or a hexagon on the back of them to hold in place. As the OP states they need a nut on them I think they are just a 'Raised cup washer' as he states. These are for when the casting holding the stud of the trim protrudes through the panel for strength and the cup covers that allowing a nut to be fitted.
Cadillac used them extensively pre war when fender mouldings were die cast.
Same as these.

Sorry folk’s long day yesterday..!  :(

Here is the link -> http://www.bobsclassicchevy.com/gm-body-washer-set-round-20-pcs-gm03.html

The original ones with the start shape hole may provide a grip once the washer-nut is tight, but these will do perfectly.  ;)
