This seller is a little optimistic:

The challenge is that for most trim NOS parts they are in sealed packages which would be an indication that they are not blems........but without opening them who wants to take the risk that the part has not been destroyed by years and years and years of poor storage conditions? Not sure about you but when I come across an NOS part that I need in a sealed factory box my heart jumps just a little bit faster but then the worry about what is being purchased kicks in and yet if the box was opened the question is raised about if it is really the part that JUST came out of the box for the photograph.............

It's not the mirror that drives that price, it's the mounting bracket and gasket

All that dood's stuff is overpriced. He's been hawking that mirror for many months and no takers.
Seller says, "This is the real deal for a serious collector who has a period correct survivor concourse car and wants the best and only the real and true period correct enhancement for his/her vehicle."
No disrespect to my fellow '70 owners, but I don't think "serious collectors" have a '70 in their collection.

70 Cadillacs are for serious collectors.
I had a passenger side mirror re-chromed in correct mat finish by Finishing Touch in Chicago and it looks just like original but is far more durable and better done for way less than that price. If your passenger mirror is pitted it can be re-done by the best in the Country more durably and Pebble Beach quality for way less.

His price is high because he paid $600+ for each of them when he won the ebay auctions. What he doesn't realize is he paid top market price for them and is trying to flip them. Pure greed. Gives other sellers a bad name with his inflated pricing for mediocre quality items.

I wonder if that mirror will make me look skinnier, or at least get rid of 1 of my chins.

$600.00 Is a fair price. I have bought some and sold them for between $500 and $600 depending on the completeness as far as the diagram and the base gasket being present.
$750 to $800 would be a decent mark up for this guy. Asking $1500.00 is being a pig, in my opinion. If it was an ebay auction and two guys were bidding and it went that high, then so be it.
It's a valuable thing to have on the car for pulling in and out of the garage and I am glad my 70 had one on there when I bought it.
I paid Bob Hoffman $600.00 for a 70 R/S Eldo mirror that's excellent used for a car that I don't even own yet, but hope to own some day.
Supply and demand is one thing but gouging is another.

Hello all,
The bumper should cost $59.99 to ship. The mirror should ship free!

The base on the repro mirrors that popped up on ebay last year is not correct.
