Hi :)
I have a 1933 Fleetwood 7 passenger Imperial Sedan
V-12 Model 370C
33-12-213
:)
I want to change the transmission fluid.
The original service manual calls for:
4 1/2 pints of
SAE viscosity 200 at 210degrees F
Cadillac part # A-200
General Motors part # 4510-M

SAE 200 sounds thick to me ?
as you know 85 or so is average today....

any knowledge or suggestions, ed  :)

We took the top off a 32 transmission and the stuff in it was like molasses and dark brown too, so it is very thick. I also drained a 1927 John Deere and it too had molasses. I replaced the JD with 85-140. Not sure what is out there any thicker or what the original grade would be now.
