At one time (maybe still is), your CLC membership email address and your forum email address had to match for the CLC logo to show.

chrisntam: My membership is current. It wouldn't look good for the president of a region to have a lapsed membership.

Classic. I know that, but that was supposedly corrected some time ago. I was still in the Army when I first joined and used my army.mil email, but after I was retired, that email vaporized.

But this was corrected back in 2013, and I do not know what happened - again.

I just checked the 1014, 15, & 16 directories.

All Three still have my us.army.mil email. That email does not exist anymore. I guess I have to write someone at national.

Just send Mike & Nancy Book a quick email to update your email address.

It is easy enough to overlook all the check marks on your renewal. Mike and Nancy will be glad to take care of your corrections.  Mike, thanks for being so careful about being current since you are a Region President. To my embarrassment, I let my renewal get "lost" and I missed an issue. One of my next "tasks" around the house is locating all the various cubby-holes that I have stashed fifty some years of S/S and getting them in order.

Of course, I will have to "go through" them and be subject to my spouse saying, "Do I have to take these to the garage? How long are they going to be stacked in the living room?"

I just got the 2017 directory in the mail yesterday, and it finally has the correct email address.

So who do I contact on this forum to get my little logo and CLC number to show on the left side under my name?

I never received a membership ending notice so I guess it's not that important for CLC

I believe you simply have to go into your profile, and edit your email address.

It still shows up as your Military email address.

Wow, I changed that some time ago. Someone must have changed it to match the CLC main email.

Well now it's the same, but still no logo. Maybe wait for an overnight update?

Mike,

Only you can change your email address without anyone knowing about it.

If one of the Administrators or Moderators edited your profile, it would only be done at your explicit request, and you would be notified via email of the alteration.

I am not quite sure how the Logo gets there, but if all the stars are in alignment, then wonderous things can, and do, happen.

Bruce, someone might have changed it with my ok back in 2012-13 when I first noticed it was missing, and I probably OK'd it, but now, finally my CLC main email is correct.

I'm guessing an overnight batch update will get things straight.

Must have been the email change I made yesterday and the nightly update. Thanks everyone.

It's a good thing I have my password squirreled away, because I would have NEVER gotten any reset message.

I Still have some web sites that have that old email address tied to them. I usually find out about it the hard way.

It is a real pain when one has to change their email address.   Then the worst part is remembering where else it needs to be amended.

Good to see that you are again a happy member.

Bruce, you are right on the money! Imagine the job Steve Stewart and I have trying to make sure addresses, phone numbers and e-mails match between the officer/Region/Chapter/Affiliate listings in Part I and the membership data in Part II of the Directory. We have to do this every year and end up making a lot of corrections. I practice what I preach, as I have had the same e-mail address since 1996.

I've been doing the same thing Bruce, when I renew. At least email is now correct. But now I have to check the 2017 directory to maker sure the phone #s are correct.
