Hi, How are the rear brake shoes supposed to go on the RWD 1968-70?

The metal shoes are identical, but the positioning and length of friction material is different. One shoe has less friction material than the other and it is offset slightly (not in the same place on the metal shoe as the other). I've been told that the shoe with Less material goes in the front. Is this correct?

Correct, primary shoe is the rear one.
