Hey guys, I will add one more bit of info from the Nov 1, 1961 MPL.....in the Parts History section it shows the part number on Dave's box 7268055 being replaced in Jan 1959 with the 727855 that Ralph lists above.

I think this now closed the loop fully.....these parts change numbers make it hard to follow sometimes......just went through this with Cadillac Seat Belts.......

Thanks guys!    I'll try and get a photo of the box logo for ya too.  It looks early.

But from what you have posted it definitely must be from pre Jan 59 if the part number changed then.

Guys,

Based on Jeff's comments I checked the 57 MPL. The ...8055 number was introduced in '57 (for 57 and forward)  and also served as a replacement for the 51-56 part .

I think this qualifies as getting into the weeds......

Early foots witches had a 3 prong plug.  Later ones--1959 and newer--had an RCA type plug as radios were becoming transistorized.
