Jeepers Creepers

Well, last Tuesday, our 64 Fleetwood finally completed the trip from the USA to Tin Can Bay.

I'm doing some history searches for it now.
I know it was owned by a gentleman (I have his details etc) from Hanford California.
In the handbook, it shows a dealer was located in Hanford.
Does anyone know the name of the dealer or any history to do with the dealer for that area in 1964?

Cheers, Kev

Oh, here's a couple of happy snaps.
After living in a 40 foot shipping container for about 9 weeks, we chose to truck her home rather than drive it.

GOING ONTO THE TRUCK.

WE RAN IT OFF ONTO THE VACANT BLOCK NEXT DOOR..... NEARLY HOME.

AND..... DRUM ROLL PLEASE.... TOUCHDOWN.  ;D 8)

Hi Steve,

Yeah, I'd seen the Keller Motors thing, but I thought they would be a bit too busy to pester them.
I' rather pester you guys.

If I have no luck though, I will contact them.

Hi Brian, yeah, pretty happy with the purchase.

I have no suggestions for a specific site to do this, but the best way to identify a specific dealer at a particular moment in time, is to search for a newspaper for the advertisement that ran on announcement day.

There is a always a big picture of the new car, text about the specification and improvements over last year AND a list of ALL the local dealers where you can go to buy one  ;)

"See and buy the new 1964 Cadillac today at one of these local dealers . . . (listed below)"

The newspaper that you would want to search for is the "Fresno Bee" They would be the largest circulation newspaper in that part of California.

You bring that car back where it belongs, right now!

;)

Congratulations on completing the purchase, I'm elated it arrived (as I bet you are), and in one piece!   Some kind of trust that you pay the money and the seller will send the car!  Looks great.  And now the adventure begins.

Thanks M-Man, i'll try to search under that advice.

Chrisntam, we bought the car from Mike at Classic and Collectibles Cars in Vegas.
Nice guy, very helpful, very accurate details on the car, including warts and bumps as well.

WE then got USA to Aus to ship it in for us. They've also been great to deal with.

I would recommend either company and would use them again myself.
