Wondering if I'd be stepping over an Invisible Line here

Hello All,
I've been lurking here for a while now and haven't seen this issue come up yet.  I have an Authenticity Manual I'd like to sell but I'm not sure if it would be ok to do so here for fear of being accused of competing with the club.  Any thoughts?

Hi Wes, good question.  My thought is that the Manual is your property and you can dispose of it as you wish.  A good compromise might be to donate the Manual to the Club's annual Museum Auction.  You can likely deduct from your taxes the value of the book (or the value the Club receives for it - as your accountant).  That will put some cash in your pocket and help the museum at the same time.

In my opinion it should be fine to place an ad in the for sale section.
If that's a problem I'm sure a moderator will politely let you know.

Thanks Guys,
I'll give it a go and if it doesn't work, I'll try something else.

Anything Cadillac and or LaSalle is permissible to be advertised for sale on the CLC Message Forum.

As I understand it, these Authenticity Manuals are available for sale through the CLC, and therefore once purchased, the item is owned by the purchaser.

Further, the only item of CLC printed material than cannot be sold or bartered is the International Membership Directory, and that embargo lapses following the tenth year of printing in each case.
